A Gender Agenda's Social Inclusion Project wins ACT Health Promotion Awards

Thursday, 13 June 2013

We are exceptionally proud to be able share the fact that the Social Inclusion Project that we ran back in 2011 won the "Outstanding Achievement to Promote Health and Wellbeing in the Community" Award. In addition, we also won the overall "ACT Health Award for Outstanding Achievement in Health Promotion Award".

These awards are not just about individual people or organisations - they are about our whole community. The validation and acknowledgement shown by the mainstream audience present at the awards ceremony is testament to the progress that we, as an intersex, transgender and gender diverse community have made over the last few years.

There is still much work to be done, but the achievements we have made so far are clearly so worthy of celebration.

Congratulations to everyone. We've well and truly done ourselves proud.
