Consent in Healthcare: Professional developmentFor Professionals
Understanding, communicating and maintaining consent for healthcare professionals.
Consent in Healthcare Settings is based on Betty Martins model of consent, ‘The Wheel of Consent’ and has been adapted with healthcare practitioners and social services in mind.
In this workshop you will be taking a close look at how we
understand, communicate and maintaining consent as within a healthcare or services setting.
Greg and Helena are fun and engaging facilitators who are passionate about the subject of consent. Together they bring this workshop to life with practical exercises and lively conversation as the group dive’s deep into what consent looks like in a healthcare setting.
This workshop is a joint project between the AIDS Action Council and AGA. It will be presented by Greg McGuirk (AIDS Action Council) and Helena Willson (AGA)
AGA and AIDS Action Council acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia, their diversity, histories and knowledge and their continuing connections to land, water and community. We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and to Elders past, present and future.
