The Friday Centre is an exciting new peer navigation service that aims to assist trans and gender diverse communities with information and referrals to support their social, legal and medical transition.
The centre is open every Friday starting 17 January, 2020 between 1pm–6pm at Havelock House in Turner (next to the Aids Action Council on the corner of Gould and Moore St). Our Peer Navigator is a trans person who has first hand experience with services and systems here in the ACT. You can drop in anytime during opening hours or contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
On the last Friday of every month we have a Speech Pathologist in-house who can provide information to community members who are wanting to explore speech therapy as part of their transition. Please contact our Peer Navigator on the email address above to make an appointment.
On the second and fourth Friday of each month staff from Feros Care will be at The Friday Centre to provide information and support for trans, gender diverse and intersex folks who may be eligible for the NDIS. This includes people who are already on a plan and people who might want to begin to assess their eligiblity. You can drop in anytime between 1pm-4pm on these days for a chat. Please call or email AGA for more information.
